Job summary

DJS Financial Services LLC is seeking three experienced Mid-Level Contract Support Specialists to provide cradle-to-grave federal acquisition support to the Department of Veterans Affairs. You will assist VA Contracting Officers and Contract Specialists from requirements development through award, administration, and closeout in a advisory, non-personal services role.

The selected candidates will support Government decision-makers but will not make binding commitments on behalf of the Federal

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required with 24 semester hours in listed disciplines.
  • At least three years of federal contracting experience in the last five years.
  • Experience with FAR, agency supplements, and related federal acquisition policies.
  • Experience supporting multiple contract types and acquisition actions.
  • Ability to draft and review Statements of Work (SOWs) and Performance Work Statements (PWSs).
  • Proven ability to conduct cost or price analyses and prepare price-reasonableness recommendations.
  • Citizenship: United States citizen; fluent reading/writing/speaking English.

Responsibilities

  • Provide cradle-to-grave acquisition support for federal procurements.
  • Assist with requirements definition, market research, acquisition planning, and strategy development.
  • Draft solicitations, awards, amendments, and related documents in a government contract-writing system.
  • Draft post-award modifications, option-year notices, and other contract administration documents.
  • Assist with contractor performance monitoring and QA Surveillance Plan activities.
  • Prepare contract files and supporting documentation for closeout.
  • Develop and analyze Independent Government Cost Estimates.
  • Research and analyze technical, cost, and pricing information; evaluate pricing data.
  • Review and draft acquisition requirements, SOWs, and PWSs.
  • Coordinate with Government leadership, requiring activities, stakeholders, and industry representatives.
  • Maintain accurate acquisition documentation in accordance with federal requirements.

Brief Description

DJS Financial Services is seeking three experienced Mid-Level Contract Support Specialists to provide cradle-to-grave federal acquisition support to the Department of Veterans Affairs, Veterans Health Administration, Regional Procurement Office Central, Supplies and Services Division.


In this role, you will assist VA Contracting Officers and Contract Specialists with acquisition activities from initial requirements development through award, contract administration, and closeout. This is an advisory, non-personal services position. The selected candidates will support Government decision-makers but will not make binding decisions or commitments on behalf of the Federal Government.


Requirements


  • Provide cradle-to-grave acquisition support for federal supplies and services procurements.

  • Provide acquisition and business guidance to technical experts, requiring activities, customers, and other stakeholders.

  • Conduct cost-benefit analyses and research applicable acquisition policies, regulations, and guidance.

  • Coordinate with Government leadership, requiring activities, stakeholders, and industry representatives.

  • Maintain accurate and complete acquisition documentation in accordance with applicable federal requirements.


Summary

Education


  • Bachelor’s degree in any field from an accredited institution; and

  • At least 24 semester hours in any combination of the following disciplines:


    • Accounting

    • Business

    • Finance

    • Law

    • Contracts

    • Purchasing

    • Economics

    • Industrial management

    • Marketing

    • Quantitative methods

    • Organization and management



Applicants must be able to provide transcripts or other documentation verifying the required coursework.


Experience


  • At least three years of federal contracting experience obtained within the previous five years.

  • Demonstrated experience providing comprehensive pre-award and post-award acquisition support.

  • Working knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation, applicable agency supplements, and related federal acquisition policies and procedures.

  • Experience supporting multiple contract types and acquisition actions.

  • Experience conducting cost or price analyses and preparing price-reasonableness recommendations.

  • Experience reviewing or developing acquisition plans, solicitations, SOWs, PWSs, modifications, and closeout documentation.
