Job summary

StratasCorp Technologies in Norfolk, VA is seeking a Mid-Level Computer Technician to support MECKs on-site at Naval Station Norfolk. You will perform routine maintenance, monitoring, and Tier 1-2 troubleshooting for Windows 10 systems and printers, with required travel and an active Secret clearance.

Work with MECK support team to ensure operability, compliance, and documentation; participate in SOPs and system drawings, while adhering to PPE and shipyard safety protocols.

• Assist in developing SOPs, drawings, and system documentation.

Job description

Our team has an immediate need for a Mid-Level Computer Technician to provide support to and conduct maintenance on various equipment for the Mobile Expeditionary Communications Kits (MECKs) onsite at Naval Station Norfolk. This position is onsite at the Navy Yard in Norfolk, VA. Ability to travel is required. Role requires an active Secret clearance.

Primary Responsibilities Include

• Perform day to day monitoring, testing, and Tier 1-2 maintenance actions for Windows 10 systems and associated printers by installing updates, conducting routine health checks, and troubleshooting/resolving technical issues
• Ensure IA compliance by patching, scanning, and providing scans regularly
• Work with a dedicated MECK support team to ensure operability and compliance/accreditation for all associated equipment
• Assist with the development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), drawings, and system documentation

Requirements

• Active Secret Clearance
• High school diploma or equivalent
• SEC+ or equivalent certifications
• Employees will be required to provide their own PPE (Hard Hats, reflective Safety vest) while working in a shipyard environment.
• Must be able to regularly lift up to 40 pounds
• Ability to travel is required

The anticipated salary range for this role is $75,000 to $80,000 annually. The anticipated salary range for this position is provided in accordance with applicable pay transparency laws. The final starting salary will be determined based on a variety of job-related factors, including the selected candidate's qualifications, skills, relevant experience, education, certifications, and work location (where applicable), as well as internal equity and market considerations.
