Job summary

LJB Inc. is seeking a Mid-Level Design Engineer in Cleveland, Ohio. The successful candidate will develop engineering designs from concept to final design, coordinate with clients and project managers, and mentor junior engineers.

Required qualifications include a Bachelor0s degree in Civil Engineering, a PE license, and 4–9 years of relevant experience. Preferred experience includes work with state/local DOTs and AutoCAD Civil 3D.

Qualifications

• Bachelor0s degree in Civil Engineering required.
• PE license required or clearly active licensure in process.
• 4 9 years of relevant engineering design experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop engineering designs for projects from preliminary concepts through final design.
• Prepare specifications, cost estimates, and final bid packages.
• Coordinate with client technical staff and project managers throughout project delivery.
• Support both design-bid-build and design-build project execution.
• Mentor junior engineers in the development of final design and construction plans.
• Coordinate design activities and meetings among design staff, subcontractors, and client managers.
• Contribute to project decisions related to technical approaches, cost, and schedule performance.
• Participate in professional organizations and industry-related activities.
• Other duties as assigned.
