LJB Inc. in Cleveland, Ohio, is seeking an experienced Roadway Design Engineer to support and grow our Transportation Practice. The role allows fully remote work for candidates located in Ohio, joining a national firm with a strong infrastructure focus.

Responsibilities include leading roadway design tasks from early to final design, coordinating with clients and staff, and mentoring junior engineers. A PE license is preferred, with OH PE within the first year.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering required.
• P.E. license required, Ohio PE preferred; must obtain OH PE within first year.

Responsibilities

• Perform roadway design from preliminary to final design.
• Develop specifications, cost estimates, and prepare final bid packages.
• Coordinate with client staff and project managers, especially DOTs and local governments.
• Mentor junior engineers in final design plans and cross sections.
• Lead design activities and meetings with design staff and subcontractors.
