Job summary

H&H is seeking a mid-level CADD Highway/Roadway/Stormwater Designer to join our New York, NY office. You will work with engineers and project managers on proposals, planning, and design tasks, producing 2D and 3D models using AutoCAD Civil 3D or MicroStation.

Responsibilities include developing highway infrastructure plans, stormwater design, and quantity takeoffs while coordinating with other disciplines and supporting construction activities.

Qualifications

• Five+ years of experience as a civil designer or CADD operator.
• Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation InRoads / GeoPAK, and OpenRoads Designer.
• Familiar with NYSDOT and related design standards.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineers and the design team on roadway, bridge, and drainage projects.
• Produce 2D and 3D models and drafting using Microstation or AutoCAD.
• Develop highway and roadway plans with profiles, superelevation, and cross sections.
• Create construction design plans for utilities, grading, and stormwater.
• Use 3D modeling for roadways, drainage, and grading designs.
• Coordinate with disciplines and support construction activities.
• Assist junior designers and mentor civil team members.
• Support project teams on proposals and planning tasks.
