Job summary

H&H in Greater New Orleans is seeking a Civil Designer to assist in designing and developing construction plans for bridges, highways, interchanges and drainage projects.

You will support senior staff, ensure quality control, coordinate with the design team and communicate progress on assigned tasks. Ideal candidates have a BS in Civil Engineering, EI Certification, and up to two years of experience; familiarity with MicroStation/Open Roads Designer or AutoCAD Civil 3D is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering required.
• EI Certification required or preferred.
• Zero to two years of engineering experience.
• Experience with MicroStation/Open Roads Designer and AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in designing and developing construction plans for bridges, highways, interchanges, and drainage projects.
• Complete work accurately and in accordance with quality control and quality assurance procedures.
• Effectively communicate and coordinate with other members of the design team.
• Ability to multi-task and communicate schedule and progress on assigned tasks.
