Job summary

Trideum Corporation, based in Huntsville, AL, is seeking a Mid-Level Software Developer (Back-End) to join a DoD-focused program with the US Army Space and Missile Defense Command. You will design, implement, and maintain backend services in a secure, modular architecture.

This on-site role offers collaboration with senior engineers, code reviews, CI/CD, and opportunities to work with MOSA-aligned systems. Candidates should have 3–5 years of backend experience and a solid software engineering

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 3–5 years of professional software development experience.
• Familiarity with MOSA principles or modular/component-based architectures.
• Experience with DevSecOps practices, including secure coding, automated testing, and CI/CD workflows.
• Experience building back-end services or system components in Java, .NET/C#, C++, Python, or similar.
• Understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices concepts, and container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Awareness of software security principles and automated testing practices.
• Effective problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
• US citizenship with an active Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance, and maintain scalable, modular back‑end software components.
• Design and implement secure, efficient back‑end services, data processing flows, and APIs.
• Integrate with other system components and services within a distributed architecture.
• Collaborate with systems engineers and fellow developers to ensure alignment with system requirements and technical constraints.
• Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, design discussions, and continuous integration efforts.
• Ensure software meets performance, reliability, and security requirements.
• Follow best practices for secure coding, documentation, and maintainability.
• Travel: Occasional travel may be required for collaboration, customer engagement, or system integration events.
