Goodyear is hiring a General Maintenance Technician in San Jose, CA. The role focuses on hands-on automotive service, including brakes, alignments, and preventive maintenance.

You will gain practical experience in a fast-paced retail environment while following safety policies and delivering excellent guest service. Minimum 1 year of automotive experience, valid driver’s license, and ability to work at least 18 years old are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of automotive experience including brake repairs, fluid flushes, and preventative maintenance.
• Must have a valid driver's license and be at least 18 years of age.
• Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship now or in the future.
• Commitment to learning new technologies within the rapidly changing automotive industry.
• Ability to review, analyze, and interpret information, identify problems, and make decisions.
• Commitment to following established safety policies and procedures.
• Preferred: experience diagnosing vehicles and performing road tests; experience with electrical, A/C, and fuel systems.

Responsibilities

• Learn line technician services, routine inspections/maintenance, system diagnostics, and problem-solving.
• Perform brake repairs, fluid exchanges/flushes, and preventative maintenance.
• Carry out wheel alignments and tire installation.
• Provide excellent guest service and document all work performed on the repair order.
• Maintain safety and keep management informed of issues; promote teamwork during all operating hours.
