Job summary

Cox Automotive - USA is seeking an Auto Maintenance Technician II. The role involves mid-level automotive diagnostics and repairs, preventive maintenance, and customer interaction in a day shift, on-site setting.

You may work independently or in a team, with rotating Saturdays. Responsibilities include oil/filter changes, brake components, electrical systems, safety inspections, and maintaining vehicle histories.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or GED (or 3+ years of related work experience).
• At least 3+ years of vehicle service and repair experience.
• Ability to drive both manual and automatic transmission vehicles.
• Valid driver's license and a safe driving record.
• ASE certification or related certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs preventive maintenance: oil changes, fluid/filter replacements, and inspections.
• Performs repairs and maintenance per certification levels and components (brakes, tires, electrical, etc.).
• Keeps shop equipment in good condition and maintains a clean, safe work area.
• Creates and maintains vehicle history and maintenance records; upfits may be performed.
• Interacts with customers and coordinates with vendors for parts and repairs.
• Provides roadside assistance as needed and conducts diagnostics and repairs.
