The role supports field and office-based cultural resources work, with opportunities to work on a variety of projects across the region. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, adaptable, and capable of conducting pedestrian surveys, site documentation, maps, and reports, as well as construction monitoring and excavations.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree or higher in Anthropology, archaeology, or a closely related field
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience; 5 years of experience in environmental and cultural resources management in California (CRM) is highly desired
  • Ability to conduct fieldwork and construction monitoring, including travel and work in challenging outdoor environments
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for collaboration in a smaller office environment
  • Working knowledge of federal and state cultural resources regulations
  • Familiarity with the prehistory, history, archaeology, and ethnography of Southern California

Physical Requirements

This position requires hiking over uneven terrain, carrying field equipment, working outdoors in varying weather conditions, and standing or walking for extended periods of time

Compensation

This is a full-time hourly position with a range of $30.49 - $39.01 per hour, annualized at approximately $63,415 to $81,150, per year based on a full-time schedule.
