Location:Remote – must work EST hours

Job Summary:
Our banking client will starting a debit card processing conversion from its homegrown system to a new system.
This role involves assisting senior developers with the API design, development, system integration for a mission-critical banking transformation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with Senior API Designer to develop and enhance RESTful APIs using Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices architecture.

• Assist in the designand implementation of secure authentication mechanisms such as OAuth2, JWT, and enterprise SSO.

• Help set upCI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD to automate code integration, testing, and deployment.

• Developand maintainunit and integration test suites, and integrated static code analysis tools into the development lifecycle for code quality and technical standards.

Required Skills:

• 3-6 years of software development experience including Java 17+and Spring Boot 3.x
• Database experience with SQL
• Experience with DevOpsand Deployment tools (Docker OR Kubernetes, Jenkins, GitHub)
• Expertise using Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar

Nice-to-Have:

• Banking integration experience (Payments/Cards, Fiserv preferred)
