Job summary

eJam’s Created.ai team is expanding its engineering squad, seeking a Mid-Level Engineer to build and ship features across the product experience—from the browser client through the NestJS API to the Python AI services powering generation.

You will work within an established architecture, with a staff engineer setting platform patterns and a senior engineer reviewing decisions. You will gradually take on larger, well-defined pieces of work and own them in production.

Qualifications

• Two to four years of professional software engineering experience shipping to production.
• Strong React and TypeScript — real components in a live codebase and a solid grasp of the type system.
• Comfortable in a modern React toolchain (Next.js, Vite or comparable).
• Working knowledge of a Node.js backend framework and a relational database.
• Experience with asynchronous UI: loading states, polling or streaming.
• Automated testing as a normal part of your work, in any mainstream framework.
• Fluency with agentic coding tools and ability to review generated code critically.
• Able to read code confidently in a language you do not primarily write in.

Responsibilities

• Build end-to-end product features across the request path from UI to API to AI services.
• Implement asynchronous user experiences with progress states and recovery paths.
• Consume and extend typed API contracts between web client, NestJS services and Python AI services.
• Build interface components consistent with existing design system.
• Write and maintain automated tests at unit and integration level.
• Participate in code review and reflect on feedback.
• Collaborate with product to translate ideas into shippable scope.
