Job summary

Booz Allen Hamilton seeks a Defense Analyst, Mid, to support a Navy client through the annual Authorization and Appropriations process. You will leverage PPBE data systems to advise on requirements, milestones, and strategy, and you will analyze risk and track progress.

The role emphasizes independent, analytical problem-solving and direct client engagement. Applicants should have DoD/Navy experience, strong data-analysis skills, and a Secret clearance, plus a Bachelor’s degree.

Qualifications

• Experience with congressional or legislative affairs and the DoD authorization/appropriations process.
• Experience with Navy staff or Defense, Joint Staff, or COCOM staff.
• Ability to interact directly with senior Congressional staff and DoD/Navy officials.
• Knowledge of data analysis and visualization tools.
• Ability to work independently and analytically in a problem-solving environment.
• Understanding acquisition goals through the legislative cycle.

Responsibilities

• Provide analyses to support Navy strategy and policy development.
• Coordinate, track, report analyses to support government decisions on requirements and milestones.
• Analyze risk-based strategies for processes and planning and track metrics for strategy implementation.
• Identify, define, and help close requirements.
• Engage in regular client interactions, presentations, and meetings with senior staff.
