Job summary

West Virginia K-12 Jobs seeks an Extra-Curricular Bus Driver – Anticipated for the 2026-2027 school year. This mid-day run runs 9:15 a.m. to 11:15 a.m., Monday through Friday, with flexible hours within Ohio County Schools.

You will report to the Director of Transportation and ensure safe, reliable transportation so students can participate in curricular and extra-curricular programs. Qualifications include a WV CDL Class B (passenger endorsement), familiarity with the county road system,

Qualifications

• Possession of a valid WV Commercial Driver's License, Class B with passenger endorsement.
• Knowledge of road and safety measures for school bus operations.
• Ability to maintain effective working relationships with others.
• Completion of WV School Bus Operators Program.

Responsibilities

• Drive a school bus on assigned routes and pick up / discharge students.
• Keep to assigned schedule and observe safety regulations.
• Maintain bus cleanliness and report maintenance needs.
• Submit required transportation reports and participate in staff development.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the transportation administrator.
