About the job Mid Backend Java Developer

Java Developer with experience in developing J2EE applications using REST/JSON, Spring, SpringBoot, J2EE. Designs, develops, and implements web-based Java applications to support business requirements. Follows approved Agile life cycle methodologies, creates design documents & performs program coding. Resolves technical issues through debugging, research, and investigation.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Java/J2EE applications using REST/JSON, Spring, SpringBoot, JSP, Servlets, JDBC, JPA, Web Services (REST, SOAP), XSLT, XML.
• Design, develop, and implement unit and functional tests; participate in code reviews.
• Assist with database design, including stored procedures, DML, and DDL tasks.
• Contribute to build and deployment processes (Maven); work with Jenkins and code management tools (Git, SVN) / configuration management.
• Provide production support and issue resolution.

Preferred Skills

• Experience working in an Agile development environment
• Experience with JIRA
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Experience with performance tools and hands-on debugging on any preferred IDE
• Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and deployment pipelines

Bill Rate: $50/hr for approximately 40 hours per week

Type: 1099 or C2C

Work Authorization: H1B, GC or USC
