Trylak seeks an Industrial Coatings Sales Manager to lead a field team across Maryland, Virginia, and North Carolina, driving revenue growth in marine, DOT infrastructure, and industrial segments. You will mentor reps, expand market share, and build relationships with asset owners and contractors.

This role demands deep coating chemistries knowledge, SSPC/NACE standards familiarity, and up to 50% travel for coaching and client visits across the territory.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of B2B technical sales experience in protective coatings, industrial linings, or specialty chemicals.
• 2+ years managing high-performing field sales reps in the Mid-Atlantic or Southeast markets.
• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Business, or equivalent industry experience.
• AMPP (NACE/SSPC) Coating Inspector or Technologist certification strongly preferred.
• Based in Maryland, Virginia, or North Carolina with up to 50% travel for coaching and client visits.
• Familiarity with regional DOT, industrial, and marine specification channels.
• Proficiency in CRM management, pipeline analytics, and strategic territory planning.

Responsibilities

• Direct, mentor, and evaluate a field team to exceed revenue and gross margin targets in MD, VA, and NC.
• Formulate regional growth plans targeting DOT specs, marine applications, water facilities, and manufacturing plants.
• Build and maintain senior-level relationships with asset owners, contractors, specifiers, and coaters.
• Guide the sales cycle with technical sales support, site visits, product trials, and spec writing.
• Monitor activities and deliver monthly/quarterly revenue forecasts using CRM.
