Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Medical ICU in Winston-Salem, NC. The MICU is a 32-bed adult unit caring for critically ill patients, with two-patient and eight-bed bays, requiring skilled, compassionate care.

You will deliver and coordinate care using the nursing process, follow standards and policies, and lead efforts to ensure the safest patient environment and best experience.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing.
• RN license issued by the state in which the teammate practices.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification by the American Heart Association.
• ACLS are required within 6 months of hire.
• 1-2 years RN experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
• Use evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, and compassionate communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and best patient experience across the continuum.
