Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace is seeking an RF Technician for our San Jose, CA facility to support production activities in microwave subsystems and RF tuning. You will align circuitry, test circuit cards, document data, and provide feedback to manufacturing engineers to ensure shipped products meet specifications.

The role operates on a 3rd shift schedule (8:00 PM to 4:30 AM) in a fast-paced production environment, with hands-on use of network/spectrum analyzers, signal generators, power meters and DVMs.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years work experience troubleshooting, testing and tuning RF equipment.
• Familiarity with microwave test equipment including network/spectrum analyzers, signal generators, power supplies, power meters and DVMs.
• Ability to use small hand tools such as tweezers and torque drivers and experience working under a microscope.
• Good written and verbal skills and ability to carefully follow written instructions.
• Computer skills are required including file manipulation, file organization, accessing and launching various programs, and basic Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance.
• This position requires access to technology, materials, software or hardware that is controlled by US export laws.

Responsibilities

• Work in a production environment to perform testing and troubleshooting of microwave subsystems and circuit card assemblies and review data for compliance.
• Work in a production environment to perform RF tuning, troubleshooting and testing on multi-function microwave integrated circuits and review data for compliance.
• Carefully follow production documentation and processes, keeping detailed records of testing and rework performed.
• Actively participate in daily production meetings and interface with manufacturing engineers.
