Genuine Parts Company in Birmingham, Alabama seeks a Microsoft SQL Server DBA - Intern to learn and support a growing database landscape. You will work with senior DBAs to assist CI/CD deployment, governance, and on‑prem/cloud databases while gaining hands-on experience across SSMS, PGAdmin, MongoDB Compass, and PowerBI.

Onsite internship with collaboration across IT and business teams, you’ll participate in Agile ceremonies, plan deployments, and help improve database tooling and automation

Microsoft SQL Server DBA - Intern

The Database Administrator will be part of an evolving database landscape at Motion. The role will work with senior members of the database team, leveraging their knowledge while learning multiple database platforms. The primary objective of the internship will focus on the long‑term support and feasibility of Motion's Continuous Integration and Delivery (CICD) lifecycle of database deployments. This role will provide great opportunity in gaining experience with various on‑prem and cloud database technologies along with governance policies. This position will also work with other departments within IT and the business, collaborating, planning and positioning for the future growth of the enterprise landscape.

This position will be based in Birmingham, Alabama. Interns will be onsite at the Birmingham headquarters.

Responsibilities:
