Job summary

Motion Industries, a leading industrial distributor, invites you to join our Customer Software Development Intern team in Birmingham, AL for the summer. You’ll work with project teams to design, develop, test, and deploy CRM features, contributing to real production deployments and gaining hands-on experience across the full software lifecycle.

You will collaborate with architects, project managers, and administrators, while sharpening your skills in SQL, Java, .NET and MS Dynamics CRM.

Qualifications

• Working on a BS or BA degree in a computer related field.
• Knowledge of SQL and database concepts.
• Experience with software development methodologies.
• Knowledge of Java, MS Dynamics CRM and/or .Net is a plus.
• Understanding of full software lifecycle development.
• Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively.
• Must be self-motivated and able to work independently.
• Willingness to learn new tools and technologies.

Responsibilities

• Participate in status meetings and provide status to Project Managers.
• Collaborate with Architects to develop, test and deploy new CRM features.
• Design, develop and unit test solutions between disparate systems, troubleshoot defects.
• Maintain a Technical Design Document (TDD) throughout the project lifecycle.
• Assist deployment and monitoring of code with system administrators.
