Ledgent Technology seeks a Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central Functional Consultant to lead administration, optimization, and continuous improvement of the ERP environment in Houston, TX. Qualifications

• 5+ years of Dynamics NAV and/or Dynamics 365 Business Central experience.
• Strong functional consulting or ERP admin background with BC.
• Deep understanding of Finance and Accounting processes including AP, AR, General Ledger, purchasing, and month-end activities.
• Hands-on experience with Power BI, dashboards, and reporting; Power Automate usage.

Responsibilities

• Serve as BC owner for day-to-day administration and optimization.
• Partner with Finance, Accounting, Operations, Purchasing, Warehouse, and Service teams to identify process improvements and system enhancements.
• Lead requirements gathering, solution design, user acceptance testing, release planning, training, and change management initiatives.
• Drive improvements within AP, AR, General Ledger, purchasing, inventory management, warehouse operations, service management, and project accounting processes.
• Work closely with internal developers and third-party consultants on customizations, integrations, and enhancement projects.
• Identify opportunities to automate manual processes using Power Automate and other Power Platform solutions.
• Develop and maintain reporting and dashboards through Power BI to improve business visibility and decision making.

Seeking a functional Dynamics 365 Business Central leader to own the administration, optimization, and continuous improvement of the ERP environment. This role serves as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, IT, and development partners, driving process improvements across finance, accounting, purchasing, inventory, and service operations. The ideal candidate brings deep Business Central functional expertise, experience streamlining AP and operational workflows, and a strong understanding of Power BI and the Microsoft Power Platform to improve reporting, automation, and user adoption.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the Business Central application owner and subject matter expert for day-to-day administration and system optimization.
• Partner with Finance, Accounting, Operations, Purchasing, Warehouse, and Service teams to identify process improvements and system enhancements.
• Lead requirements gathering, solution design, user acceptance testing, release planning, training, and change management initiatives.

Skills

• 5+ years of Microsoft Dynamics NAV and/or Dynamics 365 Business Central experience.
• Strong functional consulting or ERP administration background with Business Central.
• Deep understanding of Finance and Accounting processes including AP, AR, General Ledger, purchasing, and month-end activities.
• Experience streamlining AP workflows, approval processes, and financial operations through ERP enhancements and automation.
• Strong knowledge of inventory, warehouse, service management, and project accounting modules.
• Experience gathering business requirements and translating them into scalable Business Central solutions.
• Hands-on experience working with Power BI, dashboard development, and business reporting.
• Experience leveraging Power Automate and the Microsoft Power Platform to improve operational efficiency and reduce manual processes.
• Ability to work effectively with business leaders, developers, implementation partners, and vendors.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, documentation, and project leadership skills.
• Dynamics 365 Business Central certifications are a plus.
• Dynamics 365 Field Service experience is preferred.
