Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Microsoft 365 Engineer to support a growing Microsoft cloud environment and act as a key extension of the internal Microsoft team. You will execute and support Microsoft-related operational activities, application integrations, and ongoing initiatives across the Microsoft ecosystem within established architectures and procedures.

• Experience providing Tier 2 and Tier 3 support across Microsoft technologies.
• Strong administration of Microsoft 365 suite and Entra ID (Azure AD).
• Proficient with PowerShell and Power Platform administration.
• Familiar with security governance, Conditional Access, MFA, and Identity Governance.

Responsibilities

• Microsoft 365 Administration – support Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Intune, Power Platform, Copilot, Defender.
• Manage user identities, groups, licensing, permissions, and access controls in Entra ID.
• Support identity & access management, Conditional Access, MFA across the Microsoft ecosystem.
• Execute integrations between Entra ID and third‑party apps following procedures and troubleshooting as needed.
• Handle internal IT requests and drive Microsoft‑related operations to completion.
• Prioritize work using a Kanban workflow with status updates.
• Investigate and resolve platform issues and escalate as needed.
• Monitor platform health and implement preventive improvements.

• Strong knowledge and hands-on administration experience across Microsoft 365 and the broader Microsoft ecosystem, including Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), Azure, Exchange Online, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Intune, Power Platform, Microsoft Copilot, Microsoft Defender, and identity management.
• Experience providing Tier 2 and Tier 3 support across Microsoft technologies, including Microsoft 365, Microsoft Entra ID, and related cloud services
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), including user identity management, group management, licensing, permissions, access controls, and integrations with enterprise applications
• Experience with Microsoft Power Platform, specifically Power Automate, and working knowledge of PowerShell for administration, automation, and troubleshooting activities
• Experience troubleshooting and resolving Microsoft 365, identity, access, and platform-related issues.
• Understanding of Microsoft security, compliance, and governance frameworks, including Conditional Access, MFA, and Identity Governance
• Experience working within an ITIL-based support environment

This individual will be responsible for executing and supporting Microsoft-related operational activities, platform administration, user requests, application integrations, and ongoing initiatives across the Microsoft ecosystem. Working within established architectures, documented procedures, and technical guidance, this person will help drive day-to-day activities to completion while ensuring Microsoft services remain secure, efficient, and well-supported. The ideal candidate will be proactive, collaborative, and capable of independently driving assigned activities from start to finish while providing regular status updates and maintaining strong communication with the team.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Microsoft 365 Administration – Support the day-to-day administration of Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Intune, Power Platform, Copilot, and Microsoft Defender
• Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) – Manage user identities, groups, licensing, permissions, and access controls within Microsoft Entra ID
• Identity & Access Management – Support user provisioning, role assignments, group management, Conditional Access, MFA, and authentication-related activities across the Microsoft ecosystem
• Application Integrations – Support and execute integrations between Microsoft Entra ID and third-party applications, following established procedures, validating configurations, and troubleshooting issues as needed
• Operational Support & Request Fulfillment – Support internal corporate IT requests, execute Microsoft-related operational activities, and help drive assigned initiatives to completion
• Workload & Priority Management – Manage and prioritize assigned work through a Kanban-based workflow, maintaining visibility into progress, risks, and blockers while providing regular status updates
• Troubleshooting & Issue Resolution – Investigate and resolve Microsoft 365 administration, identity, access, and platform-related issues while escalating complex issues when necessary
• Platform Monitoring & Support – Monitor platform health, investigate service issues, and implement preventive measures to improve reliability and user experience
• Documentation & Process Execution – Follow and maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, knowledge articles, and established processes
• Cross-Functional Collaboration – Partner with IT stakeholders to support ongoing projects, service improvements, platform enhancements, and Microsoft-related initiatives
• Continuous Improvement & Automation – Identify opportunities to improve existing processes, streamline operational activities, and support automation efforts using Microsoft technologies
