Job summary

Delta Dental Ins. is seeking a motivated Microservices Developer to join the Provider Management technology team. You will design, develop, test, deploy, and support RESTful microservices supporting provider recruitment, onboarding, credentialing, contracting, and servicing.

You will leverage GenAI and AI tools to accelerate development and modernize legacy applications. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, microservices, SQL, and cloud technologies,

Qualifications

2+ years of experience with a Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent field.
Experience designing and developing secure applications and products.
Experience deploying applications on Microsoft Azure or other cloud platforms.
Preferred skills include Java, Spring Boot, REST API development, microservices, SQL, Git, Maven, SonarQube, Oracle, JUnit, TestNG, Datadog, OAuth 2.0, Docker, Kubernetes.
Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude, ChatGPT, or similar tools.
Ability to leverage GenAI for code generation, debugging, documentation, and testing.
Knowledge of agile methodologies and ability to work in Scrum environments.
Strong problem-solving and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

Contribute to engineering team building scalable products and解决 complex business use cases.
Participate in architectural design, system analysis, and programming activities.
Leverage GenAI tools throughout the software development lifecycle for coding, testing, and modernization.
Identify opportunities to apply AI and automation to improve productivity and efficiency.
Collaborate with senior engineers to evaluate emerging AI technologies and enterprise use cases.
Ensure AI-generated code meets security, performance, and compliance standards.
Deliver high-quality, production-ready software with maintainable, scalable codebases.
Produce clear technical documentation and promote a documentation-first culture.
Practice test-driven development and implement test automation where possible.
