Erie 1 BOCES is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Microcomputer Technical Support Specialist. Applicants must be experienced working in LAN/WAN environments. Familiarity with Windows, MAC OS, Windows Server 2012 and newer. PC operation and management knowledge is mandatory. The successful candidate will be required to travel and support school districts in Southern Erie and Chautauqua Counties.
A) Graduation from a regionally accredited or New York State registered four (4) year college or university with a Bachelor's degree and two (2) years of experience in computer programming which included, at least, one (1) year of experience in programming and/or maintenance of vendor supplied operating software; or;
B) Graduation from a regionally accredited or New York State registered two (2) or four (4) year college or university with an Associate's degree in Data Processing, Computer Science, Business Administration or related field and four (4) years of data processing experience, two (2) years of which, included computer programming, and at least, one (1) year of experience in programming and/or maintenance of vendor supplied operating software; or;
C) Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma and six (6) years of data processing experience, two (2) years of which, included computer programming, and at least one (1) year of experience in programming and/or maintenance of vendor supplied operating software; or;
D) An equivalent combination of training and experience as defined by the limits of (A), (B), and (C)
