Job summary

Controlled Contamination Services is seeking a Micro-cleaner to maintain the cleanroom, controlled environment and GMP laboratory spaces in Durham, NC. The role requires performing cleaning under strict guidelines and adhering to cGMP standards, with a focus on precise documentation.

This part-time position runs Monday–Friday, 6:00pm–10:00pm, with weekend work as needed. Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow SOPs are essential for quality control and safety.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED; or one-year related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Willingness to complete cGMP training, safety, and related technical training.
  • Ability to read simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence and maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

  • Perform cleaning operations under strict guidelines to maintain cleanrooms and GMP environments.
  • Continually monitor cleaning procedures to ensure tasks are completed promptly and correctly.
  • Maintain cGMP documentation and participate in training activities.
  • Identify deviations, and follow through on corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs).

Utilizing state of the art strategies, processes and human capital, Controlled-CS ensures the highest degree of service and integrity for the sensitive environment we support; impacting those industries that impact the world.POSITION PURPOSE:The Micro-cleaner is a critical role in the company which ensures the proper cleaning of the cleanroom, controlled environment and GMP laboratory environments.SCHEDULE: Part Time- Monday- Friday with weekends as needed- 6:00pm-10:00pmESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Perform cleaning operations under strict guidelines. Continually monitor the cleanroom cleaning procedures to ensuring all cleanings are completed promptly and correctly.Responsible for participating in continuous training: cGMP training, technical skills, safety, performance improvement.Normal responsibilities include detail document control (using Good Manufacturing Practices).Normal duties include but are not limited to micro-cleaning all surfaces within the controlled environment including ceilings, walls, equipment and floors.The ability to follow customer standard operating procedures in precise detail including documentation.Identify deviations in cleaning and follow through on corrective and preventative actions (variances).Review change to cGMP documentation and re-train.Assist in the cross training of other Controlled Contamination Services personnel.Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.Ability to write simple correspondence.Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.All other duties as defined by supervisor.PRIMARY RESULTS ACCOUNTABLE FOR ACHIEVING:Other more specific results will be assigned and measured.Must become familiar with cleaning chemical components and safety requirements.Ability to maintain confidentiality.EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.SKILLS REQUIRED:Must have and be able to consistently apply the following skills at the levels indicated to produce assigned results.Communication SkillsCustomer Service SkillsInitiative SkillsProblem Solving SkillsPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Required to spend on-the-job time on the following physical activities:StandWalkLift/ClimbTalk/HearUse hands to finger, handle or feelReach with hands or armsThe Weight or Force requirement in this position is: Up to 40 poundsVISION REQUIREMENT:This position requires to have close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less), and color vision (ability to identify and distinguish colors).Depth perception (three-dimensional vision, ability to judge distances and spatial relationships)Ability to adjust focus (ability to adjust the eye to bring an object into sharp focus)Controlled Contamination Services is an equal opportunity employer – vets/disability.
