HCA Healthcare Lab is seeking a Microbiology Technologist to join our Fort Walton Beach, FL team. You will perform stat and routine microbiology and serology tests under supervision, ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance.

The role emphasizes quality control, documentation, and collaboration with staff. Must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology or related field, and national certification (AMT/ASCP) with state licensure where required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Medical Technology, Biomedical Science, Biology, or Chemistry.
• National Certification (AMT or ASCP) required; state license where required.
• Experience with microbiology, serology and infectious disease testing.
• CLIA laboratory experience and ability to follow accreditation standards.

Responsibilities

• Independently perform specimen processing, microbiology and serology testing.
• Maintain quality control and ensure timely, accurate results.
• Troubleshoot equipment and participate in proficiency testing.
• Document results and support training and competency activities.
• Participate in accreditation inspections and safety/compliance duties.
