The role focuses on aseptic technique, prepared samples for pathogens, and accurate microbiological testing of various matrices. Ideal candidates will have a BS in Microbiology or Life Science, knowledge of aseptic techniques, and a willingness to progress to more complex tasks through training.

Qualifications

• BS in Microbiology or Life Science.
• Knowledge of aseptic technique and comfort working with microbiological processes.
• 1+ years of laboratory experience in a commercial food testing analytical laboratory desirable but not required.
• Knowledge of ISO 17025 or GLPs desirable but not required.
• General knowledge and experience in microbiological testing desirable but not required.

Responsibilities

• Apply aseptic technique in all work conducted to support accurate, contamination-controlled results.
• Prepare and analyze samples for pathogens, indicator organisms, probiotics, and other microbes.
• Perform microbiological testing of food products, ingredients, environmental samples, and other sample matrices.
• Accurately perform testing methods and read testing results, ensuring documentation is complete and clear.
• Complete required training to progress to more complex tasks within the laboratory workflow.
