Job summary

Certified Group is hiring a Microbiology Technician to support their growing team in Boise. You will prepare samples for microbiological testing of foods, ingredients, and environmental surfaces using approved techniques.

Maintain reagents and media, assist with QA, and keep accurate records to ensure safety and regulatory compliance. The role requires a High School diploma or GED; an Associate degree in Life Science or two years’ lab experience is preferred, with travel considered advantageous.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Associate degree in Life Science or two years of laboratory experience preferred.
• Ability to travel is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare samples for microbiological testing of foods and environments.
• Apply aseptic techniques in daily workload.
• Maintain media and reagents for routine tests.
• Inventory and report expendable supplies needed for testing.
• Perform routine cleaning, sanitizing, and waste disposal.
• Monitor quality control by checking incubator temps and control organisms.
• Maintain accurate records and clean lab conditions.
