Job summary

Canyon Labs in Bluffdale, Utah is seeking a Microbiology Scientist to perform, develop, validate, and troubleshoot microbiological methods in support of laboratory testing services. This role requires hands-on microbiology experience and a strong understanding of quality systems in a regulated environment.

The ideal candidate will author technical reports and SOPs, participate in internal and external audits, and collaborate with Quality, Operations, Validation, and client-facing teams to ensure

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Microbiology or related life science.
• 3–5 years of microbiology lab experience in a regulated environment.
• Experience with microbiological testing, method validation, troubleshooting, and investigations.
• Experience authoring technical reports, protocols, SOPs, and quality documentation.

Responsibilities

• Perform microbiological testing according to approved procedures and quality requirements.
• Log-in samples, perform testing, update statuses, and review data.
• Perform bioburden enumeration, sterility testing, microbial ID, and environmental monitoring.
• Design, execute, and document method validations and transfers.
• Ensure GMP/GLP/ISO 17025 compliance and assist with audits and CAPAs.
