Doctor's Data Inc. in St. Charles, IL is hiring a Microbiology Sample Prep Technician for the day shift. You will prepare culture plates and slides for microbiology and tubes for parasitology in a clinical laboratory setting.

• Adhere to written SOPs and quality control policies.
• Communicate production issues to the department manager or team leader.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
• Communicate inventory needs to department manager.

We are currently hiring a Microbiology Sample Prep Technician to work the day shift!

In this role you will be responsible for the preparation of culture plates and slides for microbiology and the preparation of tubes and slides for parasitology.

• Work with biological samples in a clinical laboratory setting.
• Work in an orderly manner to maintain sequential order, proper sample-to-test matching, and transport media identification of all patient tests that are to be set up.
• Adhere to written standard operating procedures and quality control policies
• Communicate production issues in a timely manner to the department manager or team leader.
• Display flexibility and a professional demeanor while working in a demanding work environment.
• Demonstrate a proper and safe use of all work-related chemicals and disinfectant solutions.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.

Physical Requirements

• Frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25lbs
• Frequent sitting, standing, walking, reaching and repetitive foot/leg and hand/arm movements
• Frequent use of vision and depth perception for distances near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more) and to identify and distinguish colors
• Frequent Occasional bending, twisting, and gripping
