The ideal candidate holds an Associate Degree in Medical Technology with ASCP/AMT/NCA/AAB certification eligibility and up to 1 year of lab experience.

Qualifications

• 2 year / Associate Degree in Medical Technology (Required).
• OR meet CLIA minimum qualifications for high complexity testing personnel.
• 4 year / Bachelor Degree in Medical Technology (Preferred).
• 0 - 1 year ability to perform in one or more laboratory departments as a clinical laboratory scientist.
• Certification by ASCP, AMT, NCA, AAB, or other agency approved by the hiring department.

Responsibilities

• Provides accurate and timely results of tests per established procedures.
• Works independently with little or no supervision and uses sound clinical judgment.
• Documents work performed and recognizes abnormal and critical results.
• Maintains laboratory equipment and ensures proper documentation.
• Monitors quality assurance, quality control, and documentation standards.
• Attends staff meetings and completes mandatory trainings and competency evaluations.
