Microbiology Laboratory Technologist - Team Lead (Customer Service Focus)

LabCorp is seeking a Technologist Customer Service Support Representative to join our Dublin, OH team. This position will work with physician offices, hospital laboratories, patients, and internal customers to ensure all client needs are addressed accurately and efficiently. The Customer Service Support Representative will provide product education and handle a wide variety of questions while ensuring a world-class customer experience. The ideal candidate will be passionate about customer service and motivated to work with a customer-centric team in an innovative company.

Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm, with rotating Saturday/Sundays/Holidays and OT as needed to meet department goals.

Job Responsibilities

• Act as a liaison between LabCorp, the customer base, and patients.
• Resolve routine customer requests via inbound/outbound calls or the internet.
• Communicate courteously, professionally, and using protocol procedures.
• Inquire, clarify, and confirm customer requirements and understanding.
• Provide additional customer education and information as needed.
• Qualify and establish inbound new customers requesting LabCorp's services.
• Research complex issues using multiple databases.
• Notify clients of test results in a timely and accurate manner.
• Review test forms for accuracy and report discrepancies.
• Participate in activities to improve customer satisfaction and business performance.
• Support medical record management, CRM data maintenance, and internal records to ensure HIPAA compliance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Biological sciences, Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology, or meet local regulatory (CLIA & State) requirements.
• Minimum 1 year of clinical laboratory testing experience or an MLS degree.
• ASCP or AMT certification preferred.
• Experience in a contact center/call center environment preferred.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
• Experience with Salesforce.com and/or Laboratory Information Systems preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent multitasking abilities.
• Flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
• Ability to pass a color vision screen.
• Willingness to work overtime or other shifts as needed.
