Job summary

UVMMC - Medical Center - Main Campus in Burlington, VT is seeking a part-time Medical Laboratory Technician to perform, calculate and report routine laboratory tests and help maintain equipment.

You will recognize abnormal results and notify the supervisor, following predetermined strategies to recheck findings. Certification as an MLT or eligibility within 1 year of hire is required. Weekend commitment is 1.5 weekends per month.

Qualifications

• Medical Laboratory Technician certification or eligibility required; certification to occur within 1 year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs, calculates and reports selected routine laboratory tests and helps maintain equipment.
• Recognizes abnormal results and instrument or quality control problems.
• Notifies supervisor and follows preset strategies to recheck these findings.
