Job summary

UVMMC - Medical Center - Main Campus in Burlington, VT, is seeking a part-time Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS I–III) for the Laboratory - Microbiology department. The role supports 20 hours per week with a day/evening shift and 1.5 weekends per month.

Responsibilities include performing and reviewing diagnostic tests, maintaining QC, and training as responsibilities advance from MLS I to MLS III. A Bachelor's in biological sciences and MLS certification are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in biological science or chemistry and MLS certification.
• Basic laboratory skills, maintenance, QC and troubleshooting abilities.
• Ability to understand clinical significance of testing.

Responsibilities

• Performs, calculates, reviews and reports laboratory diagnostic tests.
• Teaching and training responsibilities increase through MLS I to MLS III.

Job Description
