Job summary

Certified Group is seeking a Pathology Lab Technician to prepare samples for analytical testing of food products, ingredients, and environmental samples. The role involves applying approved microbiological techniques and maintaining strict lab conditions to ensure accuracy and safety.

Schedule: Thursday-Sunday 3:00pm-11:30pm. Compensation ranges between $21 and $23 per hour, with the company emphasizing compliance, quality control, and teamwork within FSNS operations.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Associate degree in Life Science preferred or two years of lab experience.
• Broad knowledge of concepts and procedures in a food testing lab.

Responsibilities

• Prepare samples for indicator organisms, pathogens, and chemistries.
• Apply aseptic techniques in daily workload.
• Maintain media and reagents for daily microbiological testing.
• Inventory and report expendable supplies needed for testing requirements.
• Provide routine preventive maintenance by cleaning and sanitizing.
• Perform quality control monitoring (incubator temps, controls).
• Follow FSNS policies and customer requirements for processes.
• Maintain laboratory conditions and accurate records.
