Job summary

A leading workforce solutions provider is seeking a Lab Technician in Elizabeth, New Jersey. This role involves supporting microbiological testing and maintaining laboratory compliance with GMP and GLP standards. Ideal candidates possess an Associate Degree or BS in Microbiology, with experience in microbiological testing. Qualifications

• Associate Degree (AA) or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Experience in microbiological testing from an academic or lab setting.
• Knowledge of GMPs, GLPs, and sanitation procedures is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Receive and prepare raw, in-process, and finished product samples for microbiological analysis.
• Perform laboratory testing in compliance with established standards and regulations.
• Maintain accurate and legible documentation following GLP guidelines.
• Review test results against specifications and perform product holds and releases as needed.
• Conduct bacterial identifications and maintain laboratory databases.
• Perform equipment checks and safety monitoring.
• Assist in maintaining the lab’s quality control system.
• Sterilize microbiological waste and biohazards.
• Adhere to GMP and safety standards.
• Participate actively in safety meetings and trainings.
