The incumbent will validate new testing procedures, manage supplies, and work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, ensuring timely results while maintaining safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of laboratory principles across bacteriology, parasitology, hematology, dairy microbiology, molecular testing and serology.
• Experience supervising staff and managing lab workflow.
• Strong oral and written communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to evaluate testing procedures and maintain quality control; diagnose issues.
• Proficiency with computer systems and basic software; operate laboratory equipment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee four laboratory sections and seven direct reports.
• Supervise staff performing testing and coordinate workflow.
• Serve as technical testing specialist and site quality coordinator.
• Oversee daily laboratory testing procedures and supply orders.
• Validate new testing procedures.
• Collaborate with team to assist with laboratory procedures as needed.
