Perform routine and specialized procedures, and reviews and approves clinical test results for use in the diagnosis and treatment of patients in accordance with established protocol for a laboratory performing high complexity procedures as defined by the standards of the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Act of 1988.As a Supervisor you will have:Strong knowledge of laboratory methodologies, interpretation of results, quality assurance, and preventive maintenance.This position functions within the management structure of the Medical Laboratory and is responsible for the operational continuity of the Microbiology laboratory and other laboratory areas providing Microbiology laboratory services.Responsible for the implementation and maintenance of and participates in the Microbiology laboratory quality management program, to include quality assurance and quality control functions, review of daily test results, maintenance schedules and records, document development, creation and control, adherence to all applicable policies and procedures, and other related functions to ensure that acceptable levels of analytic performance are maintained.Responsible for the review, preliminary counseling, and participation in staff evaluations with the department manager. Acts as the resource person resolving technical matters.Responsible for the execution of the staff training and competency plan for the department, to include the documentation and coordination of orientation, training, and support for ongoing competency of laboratory staff assigned to provide Microbiology laboratory services as established by the department manager. The department manager retains responsibility for the training plan and acceptance of all training and competency documentation.
$35.80/hour - $55.54/hourPay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
