UF Health Shands Hospital in Gainesville, FL seeks a Clinical Laboratory Technologist to perform a broad range of tissue, blood and body fluid analyses. The role requires adherence to high-quality standards and the ability to work with diverse sample environments.

The candidate will ensure test accuracy, quality control, and proper instrument operation while training new staff. This PRN position emphasizes flexibility, patient care, and continuous improvement in a dynamic laboratory setting.

Competenze

• Bachelor Degree in Clinical Laboratory Science or equivalent meeting licensure qualifications.
• FL Statute 64B3-5.003 Technologist licensure requirements must be met.
• One year NAACLS approved program OR one year as Technologist in hospital lab.

Mansioni

• Performs routine and advanced test procedures on tissue, blood and/or body fluids.
• Evaluates and records quality control for each test performed.
• Performs pre-analytical functions to prepare specimens.
• Ensures proper operation of analyzers and equipment.
• Trains new employees and laboratory science students.
• Communicates technical information accurately and effectively for patient care.
• Demonstrates fiscal responsibility and supports initiatives to improve financial strength.

Formazione

Bachelor Degree in Clinical Laboratory Science

Florida Clinical Laboratory Technologist licensure

1 year NAACLS program or hospital lab experience
