Job summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking an Inventory Clerk to maintain stock levels, process purchasing orders, and reconcile counts. You will handle receiving, storage, and basic invoicing tasks on onsite duties at 90 Blossom Street.

The role supports clinical and non-clinical departments with timely replenishment and accurate records, requiring strong clerical skills and attention to detail.

Qualifications

  • Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
  • Knowledge of supplies, equipment, and/or services ordering and inventory control.
  • Ability to reconcile stock counts to report data.
  • Clerical, word processing, and/or office skills.
  • Knowledge of university invoicing procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor current inventory levels; process purchasing orders as required; track orders and investigate problems.
  • Record purchases, maintain database, perform physical count of inventory, and reconcile actual stock count to reports.
  • Receive, unpacks, and deliver goods; re-stock items as necessary; label shelves.
  • Process and/or approve invoices for payment.
  • Process and document returns following established procedures.
  • Perform routine clerical duties, including data entry, answering phones, and assisting customers.
  • May serve as cashier and handle cash and cash-related payments.
  • May lead, guide, and train staff/student employees, interns, and/or volunteers.

Job Summary

Maintains records of materials in inventory and on order. Monitors reorder points and initiates action to replenish stock. Reconciles discrepancies in inventories and notifies supervisor of irregularities.

Essential Functions
  • Monitors and maintains current inventory levels; processes purchasing orders as required; tracks orders and investigates problems.
  • Records purchases, maintains database, performs physical count of inventory, and reconciles actual stock count to computer-generated reports.
  • Receives, unpacks, and delivers goods; re‑stocks items as necessary; labels shelves.
  • Processes and/or approves invoices for payment.
  • Processes and documents return as required following established procedures.
  • Performs routine clerical duties, including data entry, answering telephones, and assisting customers.
  • May serve as cashier and handle cash and cash‑related payments.
  • May lead, guide, and train staff/student employees, interns, and/or volunteers performing related work; may participate in the recruitment of volunteers, as appropriate to the area of operation.
Qualifications

Education High School Diploma or Equivalent required
