Responsibilities

  • Teach assigned Microbiology courses in accordance with the approved curriculum and syllabus.
  • Prepare and deliver engaging lectures, discussions, demonstrations, and other instructional activities.
  • Teach fundamental microbiology concepts, including microorganisms, bacteria, viruses, fungi, parasites, infection, immunity, and disease processes.
  • Connect microbiology concepts to nursing practice, infection prevention, patient safety, and healthcare applications.
  • Prepare and administer quizzes, examinations, assignments, and other approved assessments.
  • Grade student work accurately and submit grades within established timelines.
  • Monitor student attendance, academic performance, and progress.
  • Provide timely and constructive feedback to students.
  • Identify students experiencing academic difficulties and communicate concerns to the appropriate academic administrator.
  • Maintain accurate attendance, grades, and other required academic records.
  • Follow the approved syllabus, course objectives, assessment requirements, and grading standards.
  • Maintain a respectful, inclusive, and professional learning environment.
  • Protect the confidentiality of student academic and personal information.
  • Participate in faculty meetings, evaluations, training, and professional development activities as required.
  • Follow all AMG Medical Institute policies, procedures, and academic requirements.
  • Perform other instructional duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience teaching Microbiology at the college or professional education level.
  • Experience teaching nursing, healthcare, or allied health students.
  • Background or experience in infectious diseases, pathology, laboratory medicine, or related fields.
  • Experience with online or hybrid instruction and learning management systems.

Pay Rate: $55/hour
