Palomar Health in Escondido is seeking a microbiology professional to perform routine cultures, gram stains, rapid antigen testing and molecular assays. You will calibrate equipment, ensure quality controls, and assist in training staff to maintain high standards of patient care.

The role requires CLS licensure or trainee status with licensure within 90 days, and strong computer skills. This position is an on-site, full-time shift with strong adherence to safety and regulatory policies.

Qualifications

• CLS licensure or trainee license required/within 90 days of hire
• CA Med Tech (CLS) or CA Clinical Microbiologist Scientist
• Excellent communication and computer skills

Responsabilités

• Perform routine cultures, gram stains, rapid antigen testing, parasitology and limited AFB, mycology and PCR testing.
• Calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment with proper documentation.
• Assist in training and orientation of new staff.
• Interact with internal and external customers in a professional manner.
• Follow Palomar Health rules, policies and procedures and protect patient safety.
