Job summary

Piramal Pharma Ltd in Lexington is seeking a Microbiologist I to perform routine release testing of raw materials and finished products, ensuring compliance with SOPs within the Microbiology (MQC) group located in Lexington. You will monitor environmental conditions, maintain GMP/GLP documentation, and support CAPA as needed, while training teammates and assisting in SOP updates.

Ideal candidates hold a BS in Microbiology or Life Sciences with at least one year of lab experience and familiarity

Qualifications

BS in Microbiology or related Life Sciences required.
Minimum 1 year of practical lab experience, preferably in manufacturing.
Experience with Gram staining, isolation plating and media preparation.
Experience with autoclaves, air samplers, microscope, biohazard cabinets and water purification systems.
Knowledge of GMP/GMP compliance and cGMP awareness.

Responsibilities

Perform microbiological testing of raw materials, in-process, and finished products.
Perform environmental monitoring and trend data analysis.
Document deviations and assist in CAPA and SOP updates.
Maintain GMP/GLP documentation and laboratory equipment.
Train team members in microbiology techniques.
Handle and dispose of biohazard material per OSHA.
