The Food & Drug Protection Division (FDPD) Microbiology Laboratory in the State of North Carolina—Agriculture & Consumer Services analyzes foods, meat, poultry, feeds and environmental samples using culture, ELFA, PCR, LAMP, MALDI-TOF and WGS. The Microbiologist I (S) role supports regulatory testing and lab operations.

Qualified candidates have a bachelor's degree in microbiology or related field with one year of experience, or an equivalent combination.
