Job summary

Eurofins Scientific is seeking a laboratory technician to perform routine dilution, plating and endotoxin testing in a quality-focused environment in Winston-Salem, NC. The role requires aseptic technique, precise data recording and strict adherence to SOPs.

The candidate should have a BS in microbiology or related field and at least one year of lab experience, with strong teamwork and client-service mindset. Overtime and weekend flexibility may be required.

Qualifications

• At least one year of related laboratory or quality control experience.
• B.S. Degree in microbiology, biology or equivalent.
• Experience using aseptic techniques.
• Experience performing serial dilutions and plating.
• Experience with endotoxin testing.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and non-routine serial dilutions and plating with sterile technique.
• Perform enumeration of plated samples with high accuracy.
• Measure water activity and moisture analyses per methods.
• Perform endotoxin testing.
• Operate, maintain and troubleshoot laboratory equipment.
• Record and review data accurately.
• Review, write or revise SOPs, reports, and protocols.
• Support CAPA processes and other quality initiatives.

Job Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Applies GMP/GLP in all areas of responsibility, as appropriate

• Perform routine and non-routine serial dilutions and plating using excellent sterile technique
• Perform enumeration of plated samples with high degree of accuracy
• Measure water activity, conduct moisture analyses on tobacco samples according to prescribed methods.
• Perform endotoxin testing
• Operate, maintain and troubleshoot laboratory equipment
• Perform instrument calibration and daily equipment checksParticipate in laboratory exceptions and the CAPA process
• Read, understand and follow methods and procedures as assigned
• Record and review data accurately
• Perform validation of media, reagents and methods
• Review, write, or revise SOP's, reports, protocols
• Maintain ability to adjust working hours or work overtime and weekends, based on client needs.
• Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
• Communicates effectively with client staff members
• Conducts all activities in a safe and efficient manner
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Additional Information

• Position is Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm Overtime as needed
• May be requested to work on weekends, overtime, and holidays based on business needs
