Job summary

Eurofins USA PSS Insourcing Solutions in Winston-Salem, NC, is seeking a laboratory technician to support product assessment and quality control using wet chemistry techniques and instrumentation. You will prepare samples, run analyses and document results in accordance with GMP/GLP and 17025 standards.

The role requires a High School Diploma and at least one year of lab experience, with strong attention to detail, communication, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma minimum is required.
• At least one year related laboratory or quality control experience.
• Familiarity with standard lab concepts, practices, and procedures.
• Wet lab experience and ability to follow work instructions.
• Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine sample preparation and analyses supporting product assessment and quality control using analytical techniques.
• Prepares samples by weighing and following instructions.
• Operates simple lab equipment and documents results in notebooks and LIMS.
• Calibrates instruments and recognizes errors, ensuring compliance with quality standards.

Job Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Applies GMP/GLP in all areas of responsibility, as appropriate

• Applies 17025 compliance standards in all areas of responsibility, as appropriate
• Performs routine sample preparation and analyses in support of product assessment and quality control on products utilizing one or more analytical techniques (e.g., HPLC, GC, ICP, mass spectrometry, smoking machines, or other special purpose equipment and/or multiple wet chemistry and physical techniques.)
• Performs preparation of samples for testing by weighing, for example
• Performs sample preparation on tobacco products using wet chemistry techniques; provides support to analytical chemists
• Operates simple lab equipment
• Accurately documents results in notebooks and laboratory LIMS, in compliance with good documentation practices
• Performs instrument calibration and recognizes errors
• Adheres to highest quality standards; ensures compliance with quality system requirements
• Communicates effectively with client staff members and co-workers

Qualifications

Additional Information

• Position is Monday- Friday 8:00 AM- 5:00PM. Overtime as needed.
