Everforth Apex is seeking a Microbiologist for our Boulder, Colorado on-site laboratory to support pharmaceutical manufacturing processes. The role focuses on growth, structure, development, and characteristics of bacteria and microorganisms, performing duties in a quality-controlled lab.

The position requires 0–2 years GMP lab experience, a Bachelor's degree, and strong math, reading, and communication skills.

  • Perform microbiologic assays including bioburden, media qualification, culture qualification, and Microbial ID.
  • Perform Endotoxin and TOC analysis on water samples.
  • Maintain the Micro Lab, including supply ordering, sterilization, instrument maintenance and calibration, and basic lab housekeeping.
  • Collect water samples according to SOP and ALCOA+ principles.
  • Support senior-level QC Micro Staff with general lab duties.
  • Perform basic methods on test samples.

Role OverviewThis role involves studying the growth, structure, development, and general characteristics of bacteria and other microorganisms. The position requires performing various duties within a quality-controlled laboratory environment to support pharmaceutical manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform microbiologic assays including bioburden, media qualification, culture qualification, and Microbial ID.
  • Perform Endotoxin and TOC analysis on water samples.
  • Maintain the Micro Lab, which includes supply ordering, sterilization, instrument maintenance and calibration, and basic lab housekeeping activities.
  • Collect water samples according to SOP and following ALCOA+ principles.

Required Qualifications
  • Education: Minimum Bachelor's Degree (BA) from a four-year college or university, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, low levels of toxic or caustic chemicals, and outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The physical demands require the ability to work with hands, talk, hear, stand, walk, and sit. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
