Job summary

Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah, GA is seeking a Micro Laboratory Supervisor to support the Manager and Administrative Director in hematology operations. You will lead staffing, quality control, method development, equipment oversight, and ensure accreditation readiness while performing routine testing as needed.

The role emphasizes personnel management, training, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to maintain high-quality laboratory services in a busy hospital

Qualifications

• CLT/CLS/MLS certification or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in laboratory leadership or supervision.
• Experience with QC/QA, proficiency testing, and accrediting processes.

Responsibilities

• Assist department leadership in day-to-day hematology operations.
• Manage personnel, staffing levels, and training programs.
• Develop and monitor quality control, QA and proficiency testing.
• Develop and evaluate laboratory methodologies and protocols.
• Oversee equipment care, maintenance, and inventory.
• Serve as a liaison for testing methods and safety within the lab.
