Job summary

Stubborn Seed is seeking a General Manager with a passion to join a Michelin Star restaurant led by Jeremy Ford. The GM will maintain high service standards, lead a team, coordinate across departments, and optimize restaurant performance.

Responsibilities include overseeing daily operations, team management, customer service excellence, financial oversight, inventory control, and compliance with safety regulations. Airport/hospitality experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a restaurant manager or in a similar leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of restaurant operations, service standards, and best practices.
• Level Two Sommelier Certification required; strong wine knowledge and ability to support wine program operations.
• Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
• Flexible to work weekends, evenings, and holidays.
• Experience in airport or hospitality industry is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations: supervise all aspects of the restaurant's activities and ensure smooth operations.
• Monitor customer service, satisfaction, and cleanliness to maintain high standards.
• Manage reservations, seating, and guest flow to optimize occupancy and minimize waits.
• Recruit, train, and develop a team of restaurant staff; schedule and assign duties.
• Provide coaching, feedback, and performance evaluations to improve team performance.
• Ensure exceptional customer service and promptly handle inquiries or complaints.
• Monitor costs, inventory, and supplies; implement strategies to improve profitability.
• Oversee inventory control, supplier relationships, and stock levels.
• Ensure health, safety, and sanitation standards; comply with regulations and policies.
