Job summary

Common Ground seeks a MiCAL Crisis Line Clinical Shift Supervisor to lead a remote team delivering crisis support. You will supervise, schedule, train, and coordinate MiCAL operations, ensuring high-quality, confidential care for callers.

The ideal candidate holds a Master’s in Human Services, Michigan licensure, and 3+ years in crisis services, with ability to manage urgent situations and support a distributed workforce.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in the Human Services field.
• Professional licensure in Michigan (LLMSW, LMSW, LLPC, LPC, LLP, or TLLP).
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Crisis Services.
• Certification in CAADC, CAC-R, CCDP, or CCDP-D preferred.
• Experience with co-occurring mental illness and substance use disorder.
• Private, HIPAA compliant, dedicated home office with high‑speed internet.

Responsibilities

• Provide crisis support to MiCAL Crisis Specialists.
• Oversee supervision meetings, payroll, shift scheduling, and debriefing.
• Train and develop staff; monitor calls and online training.
• Oversee daily MiCAL operations and call activities.
• Provide support and back-up to MiCAL staff as needed.
• Review and support calls involving imminent risk or rescues.
• Collaborate with other programs, crisis providers, and departments.
• Assess crises and needs to determine services and referrals.
• Maintain confidentiality; fulfill additional duties as assigned.

Job Title: MiCAL 988 Crisis Line Clinical Shift Supervisor

Master's Degree in the Human Services field and Professional licensure in the State of Michigan required

Shifts:

Base Pay: $32-38 + Shift Differentials

Shift Differentials: Additional $3 hourly between 4:00 pm-8:00 am and $1 hourly shift differential 8:00 am-4:00 pm Saturday and Sundays

Day in the Life

• Provide crisis support to MiCAL Crisis Specialists
• Administrative functions, such as supervision meetings, payroll, shift scheduling, and debriefing
• Training and Development of Staff, including monitoring calls and online training.
• Oversee daily MiCAL operations, including tasks of the MiCAL Crisis Specialists and call activities.
• Provide support to MiCAL Crisis Specialists and 'back up' support, as needed.
• Provide review and support to call involving Imminent Risk and Involuntary Emergency Rescues.
• Collaborate with other Common Ground programs, crisis safety-net providers, PIHP's, emergency departments, etc. to support callers.
• Assess crisis and personal/family needs to determine services and referrals.
• Maintain high level confidentiality while performing all duties
• Fulfill any additional duties as assigned

What you need to apply

• Master's Degree in the Human Services field
• Professional licensure in the State of Michigan (LLMSW, LMSW, LLPC, LPC, LLP, or TLLP)
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Crisis Services, preferred
• Certification in at least one the following is preferred; CAADC, CAC-R, CCDP, CCDP-D
• Experience with person with co-occurring mental illness and substance use disorder.
• Standard met for Mental health Professional and Child Mental Health Professional.
• At-home high speed internet on a private network.
• A private, HIPAA compliant, dedicated office space.
